The word goes out at an appointed hour.

In his writing, prayer is not the closing formality. It is the thing being handed over. Biblical Text On Healing with Personal Declarations sets down a passage of Scripture and then a personal declaration to pray over it, five times in a row; his Bible study on night torment ends with a prayer to say rather than a conclusion to agree with.

He is as direct about what its absence costs. Among the open doors he lists — the ways he says the enemy may find access — is prayerlessness itself.

Fasting sits inside his statement of mission rather than beside it — one of five practices named in a single breath, “biblical teaching, prayer, fasting, evangelism, and practical discipleship”, by which he seeks “to help people develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and prepare for His soon return.”

In the community it is kept together rather than alone: a fast is called with a start, an end and a stated theme, and the prayer wall runs alongside it, so those keeping it can post what they are carrying and stand with one another.

He states it as part of what he believes the gospel does — that God “still heals, restores, delivers, equips, and empowers His people to live victorious Christian lives.” Where he works that out at length is Spiritual Empowerment for Those Tormented at Nights, a Bible study he summarised in writing and published with an open invitation to bring him questions.

He is careful about who it is for. It is not written, he says, for those kept awake by ordinary anxieties, hardship or the pressures of life — that is a separate article, still to come — but for those who sense genuine spiritual torment at night.

His counsel to them is neither panic nor negotiation. He names the doors that may have been left open — what is entertained, objects passed on by others, prayerlessness, involvement with the occult, and patterns inherited from those who came before — and then puts the authority where he says it belongs.

And it does not end in the dark. The study reads Revelation 12 through to its last word on the matter: it “does not merely reveal the rage of satan—it reveals his defeat.”
